Music Classes
Our music classes are for the aspiring young musician. These classes teach the basics of music through games, songs, movement and instrumental performance. Classes are limited to 3-6 students. To Register, fill out the Student Inquiry, select the class and add a comment on your time preference. We'll contact you shortly after. Songwriting Classes can be found here.
Current Class Offerings
Ukulele Apprentice Jam
Saturdays at 2pm
This fun class will teach students to play the ukulele, jam on new songs, and learn fundamentals of music.
Students will develop the following skills:
- Proper right-hand position and posture
- Both finger-picking and basic strumming of chords
- Basic note reading, tablature, chord boxes, and simple rhythms
$40/45min class includes tuition and materials (ukulele required)
NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY - This is a drop in class. Come whenever and jam with us!

Piano Apprentice Classes
CURRENTLY FULL - NEXT ROUND OF CLASSES WILL BEGIN SEPTEMBER 2024
Levels: ages 5-6
Want a fun intro to piano class for your young one? Our Piano Apprentice class is an 8-week course that will introduce the basics of music and piano in an exciting, small class setting. This is a great introduction to the piano, preparing students for private music lessons.
Students will develop the foundations of playing piano including:
- Correct hand position and posture
- Keeping a steady beat and basic rhythms
- Music fundamentals such as forte/piano, high/low, and basic note reading
- Fun songs
- Listening
$275 includes tuition, registration, and materials
3-4 students per class

Mondays | 4:30pm | Beginning in March
Class times are subject to change. Classes must meet enrollment of at least 2 students, otherwise, they may be canceled. There are no refunds, credits,
or make-ups for missed classes.
A complimentary Preliminary Private Lesson is offered after the class to those interested.
A Piano Apprentice Level 2 class may be offered.

Small Voice Classes
May Begin Any Time
Must be similar ages
If your child has a couple of friends that wish to take voice classes together, this may be the best fit!
Students will learn about the foundations of music and singing in a fun, group setting.
There are no individual cancelations or credits offered for missed classes,
unless the entire class in canceled.
North Star Choir
This class will be offered to
North Star Academy students only.
Thursdays from 2-3pm
